GMM, General Medical Merate, in the perspective of an evolution that it is undertaking, is looking for an employee for IT Support Specialist.

Job description

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, ensuring the correct functioning of hardware and software both within the company and at external sites via remote support tools.

Key activities include:

  • Workstation management: installation, configuration and maintenance of PCs, peripherals, and network devices (access points, meeting rooms, printers, PBX systems);
  • Technical support: first level support for hardware/software issues and troubleshooting for external connections (FTP, VPN);
  • Software and update management: installation and maintenance of corporate programs, system updates and email account management;
  • User and security management: creating and managing employee profiles, network permissions and monitoring the operation of IT systems;
  • Backup and disaster recovery: control, manage and recover company data;
  • Supplier and consultant interface: coordinating IT activities with external companies and managing contracts for telephony, servers, and firewalls;
  • Hardware maintenance and disposal: managing IT inventory and securely erasing data from obsolete equipment.

Experience and Skills

  • Hardware and software: knowledge of the inner workings of computers, hardware/software architectures and network components;
  • Operating Systems: experience with Windows Server, Windows 7/10/11, Android and iOS, and client management (domain joining, configuration);
  • Networking and Security: networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi, Access Points) and knowledge of key infrastructure services;
  • IT Software: experience with backup, firewalls, Microsoft Office, and email;
  • User and security management: familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, antivirus systems and security policies is desirable.

The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical, listening and communication skills, which are essential for understanding and effectively supporting users; autonomy and proactivity to anticipate potential needs and propose effective solutions; and problem-solving skills to quickly identify the causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
