Galileo AI

General description

GALILEO is the AI software for diagnosis support, based on machine learning algorithms.

This approach has received a very rapid interest and development in recent times, and is now often applied in medicine for the prediction and classification of pathologies/risks based on large amounts of data, as well as to estimate the evolution of pandemic phenomena, and for the diagnosis from biomedical images and signals.

Galileo finds application in musculoskeletal and pulmonary radiology.

Compatible with GMM SYSTEMS

Galileo is compatible with all digital radiological systems in the GMM range.

The diagnosis support functions can also be applied to the installed base, integrating perfectly with the local environment, existing PACS and worklists.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is central to the Galileo software: this solution is completely OFFLINE and does not require any connection to the Cloud or computer networks. The risk of cyber-attacks is thus avoided.

Galileo Chest

Package dedicated to the processing of emergency X-ray flows for adult and paediatric patients, which covers chest thoracic diseases. It combines the major chest X-ray models, like lung opacities of various types, pulmonary nodules, pleural effusions, pneumothorax, skeleton analysis on chest X-rays.

Galileo Trauma

Package dedicated to the treatment of emergency X-ray flows for adult and paediatric patients, which refers to traumatic bone diseases. It combines different types of diseases to optimise the identification of traumatic injuries, like fractures, dislocations, disjunctions, elbow joint effusion.

Galileo Measures & Bone Age

Package for automatic measurements on conventional osteoarticular X-rays. Over twenty angles and measurements are automatically applied on the image, like, inter alia, Cobb angle, lower limb EOS, and angles of hallux varus and valgus.

Bone age is also calculated, according to the Greulich and Pyle method, to determine the skeletal maturity of an individual with respect to his age.

Diagnosis Time Reduction

The real-time reporting of radiographic images constitutes a serious problem of time and resources. This causes a delay in the implementation of the treatments and, more seriously, a non-negligible percentage of errors. Galileo features a series of smart solutions that support diagnostic activities in emergency departments, solutions that are fully integrated with Radiology workstations and make a contribution in real time.

Accuracy

For many conditions, diagnostic evaluation may be limited to the search for a single evidence. But in the most complex cases, all available data must be combined to form a meaningful framework from which to draw the right conclusions. In a single solution, Galileo AI software reduces the risk of missing important details for accurate diagnosis.

Productivity

Unlike humans, AI applications can work without interruption. In this process, of course, AI does not make its own diagnoses, but merely suggests them. As a result, diagnosis times are reduced and productivity is increased.
