GMM GROUP will showcase many innovations at ECR 2026, taking place in Vienna from 4 to 7 March.
Here are some anticipations:
• SWING REVO, is the multifunctional All-in-One RF system, with unique combination of wide motorised movements, multi-axis table positioning and unconstrained detector which ensures the best execution of both routine clinical and specialized applications. The daily workflow is further enhanced by intelligent control devices, including GMM Imaging System with its intuitive interface, the touchscreen display integrated into the collimator for direct table movement from the examination room and optimised system movements that ensure smooth transitions between positions.
• GIOTTO CLASS, the advanced mammography system by IMS Giotto – part of GMM GROUP – featuring state-of-the-art technology, is presented in its complete configuration with Acquisition Workstation, interventional modules and stereotactic prone table (Flexitable), alongside the Review Workstation. A unique and versatile system that, with a single click, allows the operator to switch from mammography configuration to prone biopsy configuration. In addition, the new Flexichair is available for biopsy procedures with and without contrast medium; it is provided with an innovative floating seat and motorised height adjustment, making it a highly versatile accessory.
• SYMBOL FP PLUS DUAL, GMM’s top-of-the-range C-arm. It combines a robust mechanical structure – designed and built for the safe and precise achievement of the best projection in every clinical procedure – with an excellent and comprehensive digital imaging system. The intuitive interface, efficient workflow management and dose reduction solutions available to the user guarantee optimal results, even in the most critical conditions, typical of surgical activity in the operating room.
But that’s not all!
GMM GROUP is proud to share its latest advancements in AI technology, designed to improve diagnostic accuracy and speed up the reporting process by seamlessly integrating into radiology workflows.
These include:
• GALILEO: the AI solution for diagnostic support in conventional radiology, integrated into GMM systems and designed to assist radiologists when it matters most. This product has been developed to operate completely offline, making it easy to use and safe from cyber-attacks. It rapidly analyses X-rays, flags suspicious areas and provides objective measurements, transforming each examination into immediate decision support. This enables healthcare facilities to make informed decisions with full control over the process. While it does not replace clinical experience, it enhances it by making reading safer, more structured and more accurate.
• RAFFAELLO: the software platform developed by GMM for acquiring and processing mammographic and radiographic images. Designed to provide a simple and intuitive experience, it offers advanced features, including those based on Artificial Intelligence, which automatically optimise parameters, image quality, and operational management. The result is a highly diagnostic image obtained in just a few seconds with maximum attention to dose reduction.
• TIZIANO: a software module that assists radiologists in automatically determining breast density category (following the ACR BI-RADS® 5th edition guidelines), glandular volume and the actual pressure applied to the breast. Objectively measured volumetric breast density, quantified using a validated artificial intelligence–based algorithm, is an established risk factor for breast cancer. Tiziano therefore provides an effective tool for supporting mammographic screening.
Furthermore, with the support of our partners DICOM Vision, MILVUE and TRANSPARA, you will have the opportunity to discover the new artificial intelligence software applications that they have developed for our medical equipment.
• DICOM Vision: the Group’s software house, specialising in AI, has developed a smart cloud platform for advanced visualisation and management of DICOM images. Rather than being merely a viewer or storage system, it is a technological environment that connects images, clinical data and artificial intelligence tools to provide a single, integrated experience. It is web-based and cloud-native, offering high-performance 2D/3D visualisation and multi-user remote collaboration, as well as an AI Integration Layer that can natively accommodate AI model outputs and overlays. The result is a digital space where images, analyses and clinical decisions interact seamlessly and securely.
• MILVUE: partner for cloud-based Artificial Intelligence solutions in conventional radiology, designed to extend and scale analysis capabilities beyond individual systems. The suite combines advanced
detection, musculoskeletal measurements and intelligent automatic reporting, offering concrete support in reading and structuring reports. The solution is fully compatible with leading PACS platforms and is designed for seamless integration into established clinical IT environments, thereby ensuring workflow continuity, implementation flexibility, and prompt deployment.
• TRANSPARA: the AI solution by Transpara (company of ScreenPoint Medical) has been validated for use with Giotto Class mammography systems, ensuring accurate, standardised, and reproducible assessment of each examination. The software integrates seamlessly with the Raffaello reporting workstation, supporting clinicians in identifying higher-risk cases and guiding selection of the most appropriate diagnostic pathway. The Transpara Detection classification system stratifies examinations into three risk categories—high, intermediate, and low—based on estimated breast cancer risk. This stratification is achieved through the analysis of regional imaging biomarkers on mammography or tomosynthesis, with suspicious areas clearly highlighted to assist clinical interpretation.
