System Engineer – Operations Security

In the framework of constant growth GMM is looking for a System Engineer for Operations Security.

Position – Role required

The profile will be part of the Research and Development Department and will assist in the development, maintenance and constant update of projects based on Cloud, Web and Mobile, structures and solutions, and will be responsible for identifying the most appropriate solutions and IT tools for the development of such projects.

Responsabilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementation and management of IT security policies both at corporate and system level
  • Installation, configuration and management of system backup platforms and all applications related
  • Installation and configuration of server, switch, router and firewall
  • Drawing up and update of infrastructure documentation
  • Troubleshooting of technical failures
  • Drawing up of documentation aimed at the implementation and management of all project activities (executive planning of activities, working phases, etc.)
  • Employing internal and external resources, materials and services, for the implementation of projects and relative prototypes consistently with the technical specifications and expense budget, previously agreed-upon and authorized.
  • Aiding, within their competence, in the drafting of technical manuals and use in collaboration with the Department of Manuals Management.
  • Contribute in the drafting, verification and validation of technical documentation and constant update of project’s technical dossiers.
  • Working with the Quality Department for the development of projects in compliance with national and international standards, laws and mandatory directives.

    Experience and Skills

    Ideal candidate:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronic Engineering or equivalent

    We also require:

    • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems with the ability to manage tasks (ex. network shares configuration, scheduled tasks, printing queues, ACL NTFS, system services, etc.)
    • Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles with relation to cloud platforms and web applications.
    • Good knowledge of networking (ex. network interface cards configuration, TCP/IP protocols, DHCP, etc.)
    • Firewalling configuration (knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point products)
    • Management and configuration of site to site VPN on firewall
    • Extensive knowledge of Windows Active Directory Domains and Trusts
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (VBS, PowerShell)
    • Good knowledge of hardware architecture of computers and networks
    • Good working knowledge of different hardware devices
    • Ability to select and manage specific HW and relevant peripherals in accordance with the technical requirements

    Language Skills:

    Spoken and written English (intermediate level)

    In addition, the candidate shall demonstrate predisposition to interpersonal relations and teamwork, readiness to collaborate and cordiality.
